Today’s young people are passionate about changing the world – they want to make things better in their neighborhoods and cities. But they are inundated with negative media about the political process. And yet, it’s still the way that real change happens in our country. Politics is the most effective way to drive lasting change. Generation Citizen is out to prove that politics can be positive – and that it starts with young people. To do this, we need to give them the necessary tools and knowledge to engage with the system, to make it work for them. Our Democracy Fellows are here to help.
Through Generation Citizen’s Democracy Fellows Program, learn from young people who are building a positive voice for politics, and have made the process work for them. Engage with CoFounder Scott Warren (Brown University ’09) on how to take action on the issues that matter most to you, like teen jobs, public transit, community policing, or education reform. Connect with middle, high school, and college students who are working to drive real change across the country. Get ready to use politics to make a difference in your community.
Through our Democracy Fellows Program, Generation Citizen will work with you to design a workshop or presentation tailored to your needs and audience. Core offerings include:
- Intro to Action Civics with Co-Founder Scott Warren
- Action Civics Workshops
- Action Civics Panel Discussions
