PropelNext Selects Generation Citizen to join its Northern California 2021 grantee cohort

October 9, 2018

Generation Citizen is excited to announce an award of $200,000 in direct grants, and services in equal amount, made possible by the California PropelNext Partnership!

The PropelNext investment will play a critical role in supporting our expansion and path to scale in California. Specifically, PropelNext’s combination of coaching and connections to experts and advisors throughout the Bay Area will sharpen our thinking and accelerate our progress around standardizing program design, digital integration, and staffing to help us effectively execute.

The investment will also help us build and improve our performance management systems, and better use all of the data we are accumulating to drive organizational decision-making, which will be crucial to success as we enter this new phase of our organization’s growth in the Bay.

The California PropelNext Partnership is an initiative of the Edna McConnell Clark Foundation and includes the following partner investors: The Heising-Simons Foundation, the William and Flora Hewlett Foundation, the David and Lucile Packard Foundation and the Sobrato Family Foundation.

The program is concentrated on organizations serving disadvantaged youth in the San Francisco Bay Area; the 2021 Cohort includes a total of 12 organizations leading this critical work in Northern California.
