Brenna Callahan is the Communications Manager on Generation Citizen’s National Advancement team. Prior to joining GC in January 2020, Brenna served the City of Boston as the Policy & Communications Manager for the Mayor’s Office of Women’s Advancement where she managed all department communications and maintained the department’s economic equity policy portfolio. She has worked in Boston’s thriving public and nonprofit sector since she graduated from Boston College with a degree in English and Women’s & Gender Studies. Prior to her work with the City of Boston, Brenna worked in both development and operations at the Boys & Girls Clubs of Boston where she managed agency-wide programming such as an annual holiday gift program and career forums for teens across the city.
Brenna recently completed a Masters degree in Public Administration at Suffolk University, graduating with honors. She is the Co-Chair of the Board of Trustees at Ellis Memorial in the South End and is a member of the Young Friends of Planned Parenthood League of Massachusetts.
Brenna lives in East Boston and enjoys spending her spare time enjoying her neighborhood’s abundant green space.
