In her role as Associate Director, Operations, Dana leads human resources operations, information technology & systems, and internal communications, and also supports organizational planning and performance management initiatives.
Dana joined GC in January 2019 as the organization’s first human resources hire. She’s spent most of her tenure building and strengthening GC’s HR and talent management systems, from talent recruitment to internal policy development, and everything in between. Prior to GC, she worked at Education Pioneers in a variety of HR, executive support, and operations roles, and is a 2016 alum of their fellowship.
Dana enjoys building, optimizing, and maintaining systems and structures that support people and organizations in collaborating, reaching goals, and actualizing missions. She’s grateful to be able to do this at GC, alongside an exceptional team of colleagues that believe in the power of young people and their role in a just, inclusive American democracy.
Dana lives in northern California but tries to keep true to her Jersey roots. She likes to live by the words of the poet Frank O’Hara…”Grace/to be born and live as variously as possible”.
