As Generation Citizen’s Talent Manager, Dana supports GC employees in turning the basic principles of GC’s mission inward, ensuring employees at all levels and across all identities have the resources to feel empowered, developed, and engaged.

Prior to joining GC in January 2019, Dana worked as a writer and college instructor, and most recently comes from Education Pioneers, where she worked for four years in a variety of human resources, executive support, and operations roles.

Dana believes that equity and inclusion must be a part of the fabric of a team’s systems and operations in order for an organization to achieve long-term, sustainable impact and reach its full potential, and believes that a diverse team is critical for innovation and effectiveness. Through that lens, she brings a deep commitment to supporting GC employees in creating a high-performing, equitable, diverse and developmental workplace that they are proud of (and excited to come to!) each day, as well as ensuring GC attracts and retains the talent needed to carry out its mission.

Dana received her BA in Psychology from Rutgers University and her MFA in Poetry from Sarah Lawrence College. Outside of work, Dana trains Muay Thai, Googles everything, and tries to live by the words of the poet Frank O’Hara…”Grace/to be born and live as variously as possible”.
