Elizabeth joined Generation Citizen in 2017, as Oklahoma Senior Program Associate. She has cultivated her passion for a civically informed and engaged Oklahoma through collegiate teaching, local advocacy, and working the polls. Elizabeth has seen Oklahoma’s low voter turnout first-hand, and believes that empowering young people to speak for themselves and their communities will sustainably strengthen our state.
Because creative problem solving and critical thinking are fundamental pieces of lasting civic engagement, Elizabeth is proud to be a member of and volunteer with a number of Oklahoma City’s arts sector projects. Through professional and personal commitments, she strives to always celebrate human agency by celebrating human diversity and creativity.
Elizabeth holds a B.A. in Interdisciplinary Studies from Oklahoma Baptist University and an M.S. in Applied Anthropology from the University of North Texas. As an adopted Oklahoman, Elizabeth digs the state’s music, art, food, and long vegetable-growing season.
