Dr. Hanna Rodriguez-Farrar is Vice President for Community Engagement, Administrative Vice President for Enrollment Management, and Co-Head of the Office of Community Engagement and Communications at Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute (RPI). In these roles, she leads efforts to strengthen partnerships on campus and across New York’s Capital Region, oversees strategic communications and government relations, and advances community engagement as a pillar of RPI’s strategic plan. She also provides administrative leadership for enrollment management, aligning outreach, admissions, and student success strategies.
Dr. Rodriguez-Farrar previously served as Vice President for Strategic Initiatives, Secretary to the Board of Trustees, and Chief of Staff to the President at Colgate University, where she led university-wide strategic planning and external partnerships. Earlier in her career, she held senior leadership roles at Brown University and Dominican University of California.
Before entering higher education administration, she held research positions at Harvard Business School, the Harvard Graduate School of Education, and the National Bureau of Economic Research.
Dr. Rodriguez-Farrar is a graduate of Brown University where she also earned a master’s degree and Ph.D. Additionally, she earned an Ed.M. and Ed.D. from Graduate School of Education at Harvard University.
