Christina is a Program Manager at Generation Citizen for the Mid-Atlantic Team. Before joining Generation Citizen, Christina spent seven years as a high school ELA teacher in the New York City DOE. She is passionate about supporting young people and helping them find their voices to be the positive change we need in society. In addition to teaching, she also served as a member of the Instructional Leadership Team, a Peer Collaborative Teacher, and she has presented at The National Council of Teachers of English (NCTE). She is extremely excited to join GC and to continue to support educators and students in such a meaningful way!

Christina is extremely grateful to be a first-generation college student. She owes her and her brother’s education to the sacrifices and efforts of their parents. She received a B.S. in English Education with a minor in Creative Writing from New York University and earned her M.A. in Creative Writing (with a concentration in poetry) from Southern New Hampshire University.

Christina’s parents are Greek immigrants; growing up in their home on Long Island, Greek food, music, and language has always been a huge part of her life. Christina now lives in Astoria, NY with her husband and their dog, Cholula. During her free time, she can be found crocheting, reading/writing, or cooking/baking.
