Born and raised in Brooklyn, NY, Sharnice is inspired by the art of storytelling. As the daughter of Trinidadian immigrants, Sharnice learned firsthand how magical and impactful a shared story can be and how it connects us. She constantly works to display this magic in her day-to-day work as a communicator.
Sharnice has a Master’s in Strategic Communications from Columbia University and a Bachelor’s in Visual Arts and Communications from Baruch College. Before coming to Generation Citizen, Sharnice worked as the Program Coordinator for the Columbia University Data Science Institute, where she led efforts in content strategy and communications management. Within her role at GC, Sharnice looks forward to utilizing her skills and talent in communications to champion GC’s mission and highlight the magic that is GC’s story.
Sharnice loves spending time with her family, especially her cockapoo pup named Bailey. When she’s not doing that, Sharnice enjoys adventure – trying new foods, traveling to new places, and gaining new experiences.
